VEMSACPE Program Application

To apply for the VEMSACPE Paramedic Program, we will require information and documentation from you. Let the list below act as a checklist of what you must provide to us. Explanations of each requirement are below on this page:

  1. You must meet the program requirements and be prepared for the program’s cost at $14,800. (Contact Ellen Walsh for information about costs: office@rescueinc.org).

  2. You must complete this initial application (link opens in a new tab) for the program.

  3. We’ll reach out to you in 3-5 business days for next steps.

  4. The application fee of $200 (which will be applied against tuition if you are accepted into the program).

  5. We offer flexible free housing for those who can’t commute.

Paramedic Program Requirements

  • You must be 18 years of age

  • Have a valid Driver's License

  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Meet the technical standards for Paramedic

  • Be an NREMT-certified EMT or AEMT and maintain certification throughout the program

  • Be certified in AHA CPR

  • Submit application and all supporting documents

  • Successfully complete an interview

  • Read on a 12th grade level

Necessary Documents

These documents will be needed in the next steps of your application process.

  • High School Diploma/GED/High education certification

  • NREMT/AEMT Certification

  • AHA BLS CPR

  • ICS 100

  • ICS 200

  • ICS 700

  • Hazmat Awareness

  • Driver’s License

  • Personal Statement — Tell us why and how you feel prepared to be a Paramedic.

  • Two (2) professional letters of recommendation – head of service, supervisor, medical director, etc.

  • 50 patient contacts verified by your head of service (Please use this form)

Program application & payment terms

• Total Tuition: $14,800

• Application Fee: $200 (non-refundable)

o Required at time of application

o Applied toward tuition if accepted

• All program fees and supplies are included, including a digital copy of the textbook

o Students who prefer a physical textbook may purchase one for an additional $350
